I am a Y generationer (born '87) and I do not agree with what has been said. I have worked part-time since grade 9 and have learnt the value of a dollar. In some cases it may be true but I feel that this is an invalid and ageist generalisation.
It all stems back to how the individual is being raised. Some Ygens do have poor work ethic, but did the writer consider that this may be because our generation has more career and entertainment options, not to mention a faster paced life then previous generations?
Captain Crappy should also accept that GenXs should reap what they sow and stop bitching about how horrible GenYs are, and use their time to fix the environmental problems they have created.
I summarise by saying that Captain Critical should find a better way to spend his/her time, rather than comparing generations and making ludicrous comments on his/her ‘precious’ blog.
Hooray for the Y gens!
