Get up ad on Tibet
Freedom of speech is just that, the right to air an opinion. We are the lucky country for just that reason. Airing the ad during the Bejing Olympics maybe a bit tasteless, but what better time to bring to light the issue of Tibet, with everyone tuned into their telivision sets to watch the worlds greatest athletes, a captive audience. Channel Seven has opened itself up to critism, and for what reason. Did it pull the ad merely to avoid possible loss of ratings?, or was it done to appease China? I found nothing wrong with its content. You could understand a broadcaster in China doing this, but not in Australia. Channel seven accepted the booking for the ad and the cash, surely someone should have at this stage looked at its content and dealt with it then.

Exactly, I feel that if it is channel seven then it’s definitely hot an issue if they can’t screen an ad before they pay the creator of it, this is surely a HUGE mismanagement of money.
