Here we go. It seems that every time somebody opens their mouth to comment on Islam they land in hot water. Islamists have just as much right to be in Australia as a Christian a jew or a jedi. To say differently is simply a sign of ignorance of the truth. I like Islam. I think it is a good religion, full of good people. The media vilifies it because 'they' are different to 'us' and 'they' bombed 'us'. Well sorry people but Islam didn't bomb us. A few radicals with not much sense bombed us. You can't blame an entire religion for the mistakes of a few. But if you really want to blame an entire religion for terrorism then I will even the playing field a bit.
ISLAM: Al Qa'eda - bin laden and his cronies
JUDAISM: Remember WWII? What about the Ergun? the Jewish terrorist forces who bombed the English and Palestinians? What about the modern Israeli Army? "Bomb a bus and we'll bomb an apartment building with a high explosive bunker buster." If the army uses terror to achieve an end doesn't that make them terrorists?
CHRISTIANITY: Surely a religion of 'peace' such as this can't have terrorists? Well, sorry. Eric Robert Rudolph. He blew up the Atlanta olympics, as well as several abortion clinics. He filled his bombs with nails to annihilate his victims and make ID nearly impossible. Not to mention groups such as The Covenant, the Sword, and the Arm of The Lord.
HINDUISM: Balrang Dal. They kill and maim with the best of them. Not real high tech but a low tech bomb is still a bomb and will kill you just as good.
BUDDHISM: Democratic Karen Buddhist Army. You'd think Buddhists would be peaceful wouldn't you? Well they are most of the time. it is only in India and Tibet and some parts of China, and most of Asia....most of the world actually that they are really radical
There you have it. Islam is a religion of peace, it has a few bad apples but as I pointed out above, so does every single other religion in the world. Don't hate muslims because of terrorists. Don't fear them because they have a different culture. Ignore the sensationalist media and use your brain (that underutilised bit of grey mush in your skull). Stop vilifying people because of their beliefs. If you don't then I hope you get hit by a bus.

Well Mitch, belive me I looked. I looked high and low but just couldn't find anything. The worst I could find was a group of Goddess worshippers who broke into a church and well, used the bible and the floor as a toilet. I didn't think that urinating on a bible classed as terrorism, so I didn't include it. However in another interesting side note: Atheism seems to be fairly non-confrontational as well. As far as a know there isn't a single Atheist terror group out there.
