captain buthead

Captain Fascist, I do believe I disagree with what you are trying to say. Maybe you have communicated it wrong. You said, “Parenting has deteriorated to the point it is unsalvageable.” I strongly disagree with that statement. I live in Australia and I’m only 18. It may be different economy and social issues here, but I do believe that parents have worked hard to make it easier for their kids, not to make us lazy but to give us choices later on in our lives. Education is a major deal having the right qualifications and going on to college and uni. With studying at school and learning the skills, I believe that that's where we will receive the strong work ethics that you so strongly explain. Condemning Generation Y or Generation X is not the way this should be sorted. Society is doing so much better then what is was back when you were our age, with more opportunities to work and study. We are also doing well that our parents thought that we don’t need to learn the skill of workforce yet; we should play sports and earn a better education. My parents work there butts of trying to get me into the best schools, I believe we should focus on studying. Maybe a small portion of generation Y has lost there way, but there is still a lot of hope for our generation. Perhaps if you put more encouragement in the youth of today you will realize that no one will take care of you when you’re older (wipe your arse). Your generation maybe is the reason us kids don’t have the need to work until we move out, maybe it was your generation that ruined it for us. Thus making it a better world today.

Michael
