This is a classic case of ‘conflict of interest’ which highlights how freedom of press is let down even in a democracy. From a human rights point of view it is unacceptable and a black mark on channel 7 as a media company.
However, internet and blogosphere is open for any such discussion about Tibet and China and I believe, it is doing a great job in raising awareness levels, whether any channel airs the ad or not. This controversy is proving to be more effective in getting the message up!
