It Makes No Difference!

There is a softer unseen side of Islam that is overlooked as the negativity associated to it by many is so strong with words such as “terrorists” and “murders” being thrown around so carelessly. Because of this a lot of their work since 9/11 has been to respond to this seemingly constant harassment and educate outsiders properly. A lot of people’s knowledge of Islam is not gained firsthand, it is learnt from the media stories and through the grapevine. In the long run Muslims are hoping that people will be less hostile and cease this fire of prejudice aimed at all their race, religion and culture.

It’s completely unreasonable for anyone to say that Muslims have a place in society that is lower than mainstream. That is racist. What actually gives anyone the right to say such a thing? There have been wars before; but a war and domino effect of discrimination against people on the base of religion is unheard of! All religions have the same basic concepts – that there is a higher being and they look after us on earth, they all also state that there will be a final judgement, no religion accepts killing, all mainstream religions believe in MALE gods:

“Ours, speaking of Catholic or Christians we have God or Jesus that we worship. On Muslims, they have Allah. Buddhists, have Buddha even though they claim they don't have a real god, still the superiors of their religion are majority of males. Jews, they don't praise or believe that Jesus is the son of God but still praise God.”

So where does the reason to treat Muslims as if they have no place in our society come from?
It comes from under-educated fools who believe whatever the media feeds them at a sensitive time such as 9/11.
