Islam in Australia

Every person living in Australia should be treated equally. It is extremely unfair that some people are being discriminated or categorised because they are of a different nationality, religion or cultural background. If one Catholic was found to be a paedophile would society come to the conclusion that all Catholics were? If one Christian was a murderer would that automatically mean that all Christians were? So why is it that some Australians are so quick to label the Islamic religion as ‘terrorists’ because an extremist group of Muslims were involved in a terrorist attack? I think the important thing to remember is that it was not the Islamic faith that attacked the World Trade Centre; it was a small group of Muslims, so why should the entire Islamic faith be labelled for the actions of a small minority?
